Soldiers from Australia's elite Special Air Service are being accused of having carried out illegal executions during United Nations operations in East Timor. UN war crimes investigators have exhumed the bodies of two pro-Indonesian militiamen in what they say is an investigation of torture and brutality by the Australian SAS. The killings are alleged to have taken place three years ago during a peace-keeping mission.
