Species are known from decomposing vegetation, leaf litter, herbaceous vegetation, trees, decomposing wood, and bird, mammal Hymenoptera nests Associated with fungi of classes: Phycomycetes, Deuteromycetes, Ascomycetes, and to a lesser degree spores of Myxomycetes. Some species are associated with stored food products where larvae and adults feed on fungi that grow due to damp conditions. Louis N.
