Dear Eliza,

In over 20 years of using Anoxia, I have neither experienced damage in practice
nor read about negative changes in scientific reports. This applies to all
materials such as wood, textile, paper, metals, paintings, modern art.
There is only one report about Prussian Blue in the literature where I know but
never experienced practically.

Dear Pest List,
We are considering treating a group of artworks in a controlled atmosphere with
nitrogen including framed oil paintings, framed pastel, watercolor, pen and
ink, and graphite works on paper, wooden objects, and stone sculptures, several
of which have pest activity. I know this may be a tough question to respond to
without specifics – have folks observed any deleterious effects to any of these
materials from this treatment? I have read about the possible effects to
certain unbound pigments and am wondering if there is anything else to be aware
of? Many thanks in advance for your help!

Warmly, Eliza
