Hi Annie, We have frozen a demonstration piece before and not had problems. The key is to ensure that the piece is properly sealed in polythene prior to freezing to ensure condensation does not form on the object.

It has become infested with webbing clothes moths. What would be the best way to treat the baleen and remove the moths? My initial thought was to freeze the piece (which would be easiest for us to do) but I read that freezing baleen can cause damage and that an anoxic treatment would be better.
