Greetings. From what I know, click beetles (Elateridae) are not common pests in museum storage areas or similar buildings. Regarding this aggregation, I have two possibilities: 1st. They were attracted by the light because they exhibit positive phototaxis and got stuck in the trap; 2nd. They were attracted to the glue trap because it contains a pheromone, or perhaps one of them (a female) fell into the sticky trap and attracted the others (males) by emitting a pheromone.
My suggestion is to check if there is a light attracting them near the room where the glue trap is located, see if there is a nearby forest or green area where they live and could enter the building attracted by the light, and investigate if the glue trap also contains a pheromone that could attract the beetles. This is what I can contribute with my comments.
