I was wondering how to reclaim 500gb SATA space I have full of Video files
and empty space.

I can tell you that ntfs-3g / fuse works flawlessly.  I've got a 160gb
drive that is NTFS formatted and I also have it shared out with read &
write access to it.  So far, not a problem with it.
