I recently discovered a (very) minor annoyance in Gnome's calculator tool, and reported it (Help -> Report A Problem, then follow the prompts):

   https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gcalctool/+bug/187014

Very quickly it was fixed, and by upgrading to Hardy Heron I now have the updated version (it wasn't a critical bug by any means, so it didn't warrant an update to 7.10).

Can you imagine (a) being able to report a bug in "that other OS" that easily, (b) having such a quick response, (c) having such a quick fix, or (d) not having to pay for the next release in order to get the fix?

I love FOSS!
