Not at all!!

The history is that we had a Joomla-based site which wasn't bad but got
lost when the lug.org.uk site got attacked earlier in the year. (The
site data is still available but needs a thorough audit to find and
remove any files that were compromised.)

The quickest "fix" is for someone to volunteer to create a new site and
maintain it. As one of those previous people involved with maintaining
the site, and as a previous meeting host, who has missed all recent
meetings due to workload, I completely sympathise with those who want a
new site but can't offer to do much to achieve that!

I suggest (and have previously suggested) that whoever volunteers to
build the site picks whatever technology (CMS, straight HTML,
PHP/Perl/Python/whatever) they want to use and gets on with it, with
others volunteering to assist (eg with content) as necessary.
