Only heard of similar as long standing "memory leak" / fault in Nvidia non-free (proprietary) drivers that only occurs with desktop effects. Best solution is turning off desktop effects, as I've heard Ubuntu has them on by default (haven't used Ubuntu desktop for a while.) I use Fedora and the desktop effects are off by default. System->Preferences->Look and Feel->Desktop Effects If you still want to endure it, click on to the white box and hold down alt key whilst pressing F4, this will close the window. -- mjelectrical.co.uk/anthony_clark _______________________________________________ Peterboro mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/peterboro
