Yah, I had fun with this too! The Grub developers have taken something
simple, that just works (mostly) and have created something unwieldy.
There were what, 2 configuration files in grub 1, and now there are
multiple. I had Ubuntu with Grub2 and wanted it edited for some reason,
but it's now a nightmare! n.b. do not remove Grub2 and install Grub1 in
a vain effort to restore lost love, it ends badly! ...that's not to say
it can't be done, but give me Grub1 all-day long; grub1 == easy+works!
