Hi PLUGgers, I have a small problem in that I am unable to install Fedora 16 onto a Dell Optimax 755 with 250GB Sata drive. I used a usb stick with unetbootin to create the installation USB (as the 755 has no CDROM / DVD drive, and when I opened the case I discovered it has no PATA ports on the motherboard, only sata connections (and I have no sata DVD drives kicking about).
The crux of the problem is, it gets to the end of copying the image to the hard drive, and then bails out with an error saying "ext4 filesystem check failure on /dev/sdxn file system errors left uncorrected".. I don't know what is up with it, I have even redownloaded the iso and remade the usb boot installer, same issue, Ive also tried two different hard drives but I dont think its hard ware as a quick google search reveals I am not alone. Has anyone else at PLUG had this problem? What was the solution? Kind Regards Richard
