RE: 8th International Workshop on Discrete Event Systems (WODES'06)

JANUARY 16 is the submission deadline for WODES'06.

conference.
This is the first WODES in the US since the pre-WODES workshop in Amherst,
MA, in 1991. We are hoping for a large number of submissions and for
record attendance also!
We would like to encourage researchers from the Petri Nets
community to participate in WODES'06.
Please note that we do not plan on extending the submission deadline!
Submission details are available on the conference web site.
We are using the "PaperCept" system, which is very similar to
PaperPlaza of IEEE-CSS, so the process will
be the same as for the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control for
instance.
Please note that we have obtained sponsorship from several companies:
Honeywell, HP Labs, Rockwell Scientific, and United Technologies.
We are encouraging researchers from these companies to attend the
conference. We also plan to organize tool demonstrations.
If you are interested in participating, please let us know.
Finally, we expect to be able to offer a significantly reduced
registration rate for student attendees. Details to be announced later.
