Dear colleagues

As you all know, the situation in Tunis (and in particular in nearby Libya) is
quite uncertain. To avoid the danger of another last minute relocation of the
Petri Net conference, the Steering Committee has decided to postpone the Tunis
conference for at least two years. This issue has been discussed with the
conference organizer Kamel Barkaoui who agrees with us.

Kunihiko Hiraishi has informed us that Japan does not want to organize in the
near future.

The Call for Future Organizers published on the Petri Net mailing list has
resulted in two bids from Hamburg and Milan. Both groups are very well-known
and respected within our community. The facilities offered are very adequate
for our conference and the proposed participation fees are reasonable.

Hence the Steering Committee has decided to have the:

- 2012 conference in Hamburg, Germany with Daniel Moldt as organizer.

- 2013 conference in Milan, Italy with Lucia Pomello and Luca
Bernardinello as organizers.

For both years we are currently investigating possibilities for co-location
with other conferences.

Very best regards,

Kurt Jensen & Maciej Koutny
