Dear Petri-Netters,
We are proud to announce the new release 2.6.0 of WoPeD ("Workflow Petrinet
Designer"), an easy-to-use, open-source, Java tool for editing, managing,
simulating and analyzing workflow Petri nets using the well-established "van
der Aalst" notation. WoPeD can either be used as a classical
place-transition net editor or as a workflow net editor with many useful
extensions.
The new version mainly adds the following features:
- Process metrics with various predefined metrics and interface to create
custom metrics
- Process graph beautifying by Sugiyama algorithm
- Resource model visualization
- Many small bug fixes
WoPeD is being developed at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State
University Karlsruhe, Germany. More information including the download link
can be found on the WoPeD Website http://www.woped.org.
All people working with Petri nets in general or especially in the area of
workflow management are welcome to check out and try out WoPeD. Any sort of
feedback is very much appreciated and would help us to improve the tool.
Best regards
Thomas Freytag
