The Computer Science Department at the University of Kaiserslautern offers a 

  PhD position 

within the research project 

  Parallel Algorithms for Multiscale Simulations (PAMS).

The candidate will work on the development and theoretical assessment of 
parallel algorithms for finite element simulations. We are looking for students 
with experience in both theory and practice of parallel programming (message 
passing or shared memory). More on the project can be found under

Interested candidates should hold a master's degree in computer science or
