Call for Papers
special track "Petri Nets, Simulation, and Applications"
at Winter Simulation Conference 2012 (WSC)
--------------------------------------------------------
where: Berlin/Germany
when: December 9-12, 2012
This is the first WSC outside of the USA, where it runs since 1967.
The special Petri net track will be organised to commemorate the
50th anniversary since Adam Petri
laid the foundation of this research field with his PhD.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- verification and validation of simulation models;
- efficient simulation of stochastic, continuous and hybrid Petri nets
(dynamic partitioning, rare event simulation, reduction techniques);
- simulation of coloured (stochastic/continuous/hybrid) Petri nets
(efficient (partial) unfolding, avoiding unfolding);
- tools, parallel and distributed algorithms and implementations;
- analyis of simulation results, evaluation methods,
simulative model checking;
- applications, specifically large-scale simulation experiments,
e.g. of multi-scale biochemical networks;
WSC comes with an open access electronic publication,
ensuring high visibility (12 1-column pages).
Deadlines (regular papers):
- submission: 2nd April, 2012
- Notification: 4th, June 2012
- Final papers: 16th, July 2012
