Call for applications for PhD positions in Computer Science 
University of Padova, Italy

We would like to announce 6 positions for a PhD in Computer Science at the 
University of Padova, 3 of which funded by a scholarship. The program will 
start on January 1st, 2013 and will last three years.

The selection will be based on the grades in the undergraduate studies, the CV,

The University of Padova is one of the oldest university of the world and is 
well known for the quality of its research activities. It has about 65000 
students, 2400 professors, 85 undergraduate curricula, 84 masters, and 34 
graduate schools. The PhD program in Computer Science is handled by the 
Department of Mathematics (see http://www.math.unipd.it) and is 
part of the Graduate School in Mathematical Sciences (see 
http://dottorato.math.unipd.it/). This program welcomes students in all 
research areas of computer science, among which  programming languages, formal 
methods, machine learning, data and text mining, constraint reasoning, 
artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software engineering, real-time 
systems,  multimedia, distributed computing, wireless networks, security and 
privacy.

The students enrolled in the PhD program will work at the Department of 
Mathematics, under the supervision of one of the professors of Computer Science.
