Call for Papers
International Workshop on Advances in Model-based Performability
Evaluation of Cloud Systems (AMPECS 2013)
co-located with CloudCom 2013
5 December 2013, Bristol, United Kingdom
http://page.mi.fu-berlin.de/preineck/ampecs/
The First International Workshop on Advances in Model-based
Performability Evaluation of Cloud Systems (AMPECS 2013) aims to explore
advances in performability modelling and evaluation of Cloud systems.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
* Scalability issues in modelling of Cloud systems
* Fault-load and workload models, and their application
* Modelling of highly dynamic systems
* Case-studies detailing new approaches for Cloud evaluation
* Markovian and non-Markovian modelling techniques for highly
complex systems
* Abstraction and approximation techniques for performability
evaluation
* Measurement studies of Cloud systems
* Tools for model-based Cloud system evaluation
* Interdependency modelling
* Monitoring, modelling and evaluation of Cloud-based systems
(e.g. content-delivery networks, distributed data storage)
Submission Details
We invite papers of up to 6 pages (IEEE CS format) on recent research
results, as well as papers describing new concepts, controversial ideas,
and work in progress. We invite two types of submissions:
* Full papers should present original research results that have
not been published before and are not currently under
consideration for publication. Full papers will be published in
the proceedings of CloudCom 2013.
* Work-in-progress papers offer the opportunity to present new
ideas to the broader community. They will not be published and
authors will retain their copyright.
Important Dates
Note that due to deadlines at the publisher the deadlines for full
papers are earlier than for work-in-progress papers. Furthermore, please
observe that the early-bird registration deadline is 9 September for
both types of papers.
* Full paper submissions: 1 August 2013
* Notification of acceptance for full papers: 2 September 2013
* Work-in-progress paper submissions: 1 October 2013
* Work-in-progress notification of acceptance: 1 November 2013
* Early-bird registration deadline: 9 September 2013
* Camera-ready version: 28 September 2013 (Firm deadline!)
* Workshop: 5 December 2013
