The Department of Language and Software Engineering (LSE) of the University of Rennes 1, France invites applications from outstanding applicants for a Full Professor position in Language and Software Engineering. Candidates in all areas of Programming Languages, Software Engineering and Formal Methods will be considered (basically the domains of the CAV, CONCUR, ICFP, ICSE, LICS, PLDI, POPL, SAS, TACAS, etc. conferences). Candidates must have a PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent plus an HDR (Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches) or an equivalent experience. Candidates must have a distinguished research, publication, teaching and service record, and demonstrated leadership ability in developing and expanding (funded) research programs.
