Call for PhD Forum Papers
The 35th Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems (SRDS 2016)

DESCRIPTION

The 35th Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems (SRDS 2016) plans to hold a PhD Forum which is open to PhD students as well as to graduate students who plan to take their PhD degrees. The Forum provides an opportunity for students at different stages in their research to present their problem statement, goals, methods and results and receive high-quality feedback and guidance from established researchers and other Ph.D. students working in research areas related to reliable distributed systems.

SUBMISSION

Students who are interested in the forum are encouraged to submit their original papers (extended abstracts). The topics of the forum include those of the SRDS conference.

The paper shall be no longer than 2 pages in IEEE two-column format. It shall present the problem domain and statement, the main challenges identified, and the envisioned or devised approach. The first author of the paper must be a student. Templates can be found at: http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html

The paper shall be submitted via e-mail to the SRDS 2016 PhD Forum Co-chairs:

Students with accepted papers are expected to attend the conference and a presentation slot will be reserved for them in the main conference program. Accepted papers will be published in the Symposium proceedings.

IMPORTANT DATES:

- Paper submission: June 30, 2016
- Notification: July 8, 2016
- Camera-ready: July 22, 2016
