11th International Conference on Performance Evaluation Methodologies and Tools
## VALUETOOLS 2017

5-7 December, 2017

Venice, Italy

CALL FOR PAPERS

SCOPE

ValueTools 2017 focuses on methodologies and practices in modelling,
performance evaluation and optimization of complex systems. It brings together
researchers from different communities including Computer Science, Networks and
Telecommunications, Operations Research, Optimization, Control Theory and
Manufacturing. ValueTools 2017 solicits previously unpublished contributions
that propose new performance evaluation methodologies and new tools.

ValueTools 2017 invites the following types of contributions: regular papers (8
pages), tool papers (6 pages), and fast abstracts (2 pages). All types of
contributions must be prepared in ACM format. Detailed submission instructions
will be available at: http://www.valuetools.org/2017/
<http://www.valuetools.org/2017/>

Regular papers are ideal for presenting new evaluation methodologies and
theoretical contributions. Tool papers should describe new tools or substantial
improvements to existing tools. Fast abstracts are intended to give an
opportunity to present work in progress, experience reports, wild ideas, or
controversial opinions intended to promote discussion.

The conference also solicits proposals for 1-hour tutorials. Tutorial
descriptions should not exceed 2 pages and must describe the motivation,
content, and structure of the tutorial.

Submissions will be reviewed anonymously by expert reviewers and papers will be
judged based on originality, correctness, clarity and relevance. Submitted
papers must be original work, and must not be under consideration for another
conference or journal.

Regular papers, tool papers, and fast abstracts will be submitted to the ACM
Digital Library. Top-ranked regular papers will be invited to submit an
extended version for a special issue to appear in the Elsevier Performance
Evaluation journal.
