The purpose is to provide a comprehensive forum on topics that will not be fully explored during the main event as well as to encourage in-depth discussion of research, technical and application issues related to information technology in education and training. This is a unique opportunity for researchers and industry practitioners to shape the most promising research directions and share their opinions and practical development experiences on specific trends and challenges related to information technology in education and training. The Special Session proposal should provide the following information, in the following format: The title of the Special Session, including both full name and abbreviation. The objectives and scope of the special session, as well as its relation to the main conference topics (up to 1 page). The short bios of the key organizers. Expected number of submitted papers and the expected number of participants. A tentative list of program committee members (names, affiliation and contact e-mail). A tentative website content or URL of the proposed Special Session. If the proposed Special Session has been previously organized, please also briefly describe its history Please email your proposals in PDF format as early as possible and not later than May 22, 2019 to the Special Session Chairs at Vladimir Trajkovik <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]?subject=ITHET%202019%20Special%20Session%20Proposal> >, and/or Oliver Bonnaud < [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]?subject=ITHET%202019%20Special%20Session%20Proposal> >. Please use "ITHET 2019 Special Session Proposal" as the email subject. Once we receive a proposal, a decision will be made in a week. Accepted proposals should follow strictly the important dates, particularly paper notification and camera-ready dates listed below. Important Dates for ITHET 2019. Paper Submission Due: June 28, 2019 Author Notification Due: July 26, 2019 Registration Due: July 26, 2019 Camera-ready Papers Due: August 23, 2019 For accepted proposals, organizers are responsible for composing the corresponding Special Session program committees, advertising call for papers, reviewing submissions and planning the final program. ITHET 2019 Special Sessions chairs will assist the organization and ensure their quality and success. The conference will provide facilities including the working notes printing, special sessions rooms, coffee breaks, lunches, proceedings, etc. A Special Session paper should follow the same paper submission guidelines as the main conference papers. Each paper should be reviewed at least by two reviewers in the corresponding areas. All accepted Special Session papers will be included in the proceedings published by IEEE Conference Publishing Services. The accepted papers in a cancelled Special Session may be moved to another Special Session, or to the main conference track if they fit in with the quality requirement. The registration requirement and procedure for Special Session papers will be the same as for regular papers for ITHET 2019 and the registration fee will be paid directly to ITHET 2019. The registration fee can be waived for a Special Session main organizer if there are more than 5 accepted papers. We are looking forward to your exciting proposals.
