Should we introduce a PETSc beginner mode that is on by default for new users? It would for example always have
-malloc -malloc_debug -options_left -ksp_monitor_true_residual -ksp_converged_reason -ksp_view -snes_monitor -snes_converged_reason -snes_view -ts_monitor on? We could manage this by just creating a ~/.petscrc file with the appropriate options Barry
