Could you please go through all the packages/*.py in both directories and
make sure that the install process always cleans up removing .o .a etc files
before building? Usually it would be with a make clean call but not all
packages may have this.

Likely some more of them just leave junk lying around and don't properly
recompile everything with a new build as we need them to.
