Hi all,
I'm planning to use OpenBSD and PF to build a gateway which has to:
1) make FW functions
2) make load-balancing
3) fail-over system
I know that the three points are possibles with PF itself (1), ALTQ (2)
and CARP (3), but the main issue is I'm talking about a production
enviroment with:
* 120/150 MBps outcoming traffic (services as http, dns, smtp...)
* more than 150 servers
¿Is capable a simple OpenBSD+PF box to do this amount of work? ¿Or maybe
the most sensible option will be to build several OpenBSD boxes to share
the work load?
