The pgAdmin4 keychain will not accept the password. EDB has taken on the
responsibility for PostgreSQL for the Mac. The version included for pgadmin is
for the wrong chipset - not Apple silicon. Results in incredibly slow
performance.

Downloaded the correct version directly from pgadmin web site. Have to deny my
way through until app is operational. Get message “crypt key is missing”.
Opening up server node, gets request for database password. After that, being
able to access database is hit or miss.

Two questions:

  1. Using Keychain Access on the Mac, should I just remove the login key
pgAdmin4. Will then opening the correct pgadmin app (Apple silicon) then fix
the issue by setting up a new key.
  2. Someone should contact EDB and alert them of the issue.

Thanks.
