Hello all. I help administrate a linux (debian) box, running Postgres
6.4. We have several web pages that access this database. We have
recently been experiencing timeouts with requests to the database. Which
eventually requires postmaster to be restarted. I have not been doing it
long enough to know what the problem is, nor the solution. I would like
others opinions on what the problem may be. Is it a postgres issue, a
linux issue, etc.
Hardware: PIII Xeon 500Mhz.
256MB RAM
10,000 RPM SCSI 10G HD
Please let me know any thing that I may need to check/report to the group
for further information.
