Hi, does anyone has made experiences compiling postgresql with the Intel C++ Compiler for Linux to improve performance? I've read an article in the german magazine "IX", where speed- ups more than 40% are possible, only by re-compiling the code. We are running postgres on a Dual-PIII/933 NetServer which works like a charm - but fast is never fast enough ;-)
