Hi, I'd like to create a backup CD which can be - somehow - searched or at least appended to the live db. I mean a backup of data older then 5 years. If the customer needs to search something in the old data he should simply insert the CD, attach it to the database and perform his/her search. After completing his/her work disattaches the CD and goes on.
Is there any way to do this? Or I have to insert the the old data to the db and then delete(+vacuum) it? Thank you all in advance.
