I think, with RedHat a little bit to much for the memory... Exept you know, how to strip down this pig. I use Debian GNU/Linux 3.0r2 with a postgresql Backport from unstable and it was running on a P1/200 with 2 x 16 MByte EDO and 2 x 8 MByte EDO and it was working fine. Because you have only a 1 GB HDD I asume you have not very much traffic and I think, it will work.
