I put pg_autovacuum -D in the "start" section of my rc postgresql script, just after the pg_ctl command.
What should I put in the "stop" section? I understand the pg_autovacuum script should be stopped before the postmaster stops. Is it safe to kill -9 it?

Thank you. Kind regards,

TIP 4: Don't 'kill -9' the postmaster
