EDB announces the release of [pglogical](https://www.2ndquadrant.com/en/resources/pglogical/) 2.4.0, the next generation in logical replication for PostgreSQL. Implemented entirely as a PostgreSQL extension, pglogical is a logical replication system that serves as a highly efficient method of replicating data as an alternative to physical replication.
This release contains important bug fixes. Users of pglogical 2.x must upgrade to this release before upgrading to the PostgreSQL versions released on 2021-08-12. pglogical 2.4.0 also contains preliminary support for PostgreSQL 14 (beta).
