Core Lab team is glad to announce a release of the new PostgreSQLDirect .NET
Data Provider version 2.50. PostgreSQLDirect .NET is 100% managed  full-featured
ADO.NET provider for direct  access to PostgreSQL server for the Microsoft .NET
Framework and .NET Compact Framework. Our provider uses native message-based
protocol for communication with PostgreSQL server and thus doesn't require
PostgreSQL client library.

In this version we introduced following features:

- Implemented advanced integration with Visual Studio 2005, including Server
  Explorer, Data Source wizard, TableAdapter configuration, Query Builder and
  configuring web component SqlDataSource
- Mono support added
- Enterprise Library Data Access Application Block support added for 
Professional
  edition
- ASP.NET 2.0 providers added for Professional edition: Membership Provider, 
Role
  provider, Session State Provider, Profile provider
- Dataset Wizard added (Professional edition only)
- Borland Delphi 2006 support added
- EnterpriseDB Postgre SQL Server supported
- Provider invariant name changed
- Added streaming support for PgSqlScript

Since version 2.50 we introduced Standard and Professional editions.
Standard edition includes ADO.NET core classes and classes for native
data types only. Professional edition includes additional classes PgSqlLoader,
PgSqlDump, Enterprise Library and ASP.NET 2.0 providers support,
Dataset Wizard and DBMonitor support.

Data provider supports PostgreSQL server since 7.1 version to 8.1,
Pervasive Postgres SQL server. The provider works with .NET Framework 1.0, 1.1, 
2.0
and .NET Compact Framework 1.1 and 2.0, and can be used with Microsoft Visual
Studio .NET 2005, 2003, and 2002, Borland Delphi 2006, Delphi 2005, Delphi 8 and
Borland C#Builder.

PostgreSQLDirect .NET Data Provider is licensed per a developer and
registered users can deploy run-time assemblies with executable
applications without royalty fee.
