Hello, it looks like that the remarks on column pg_attribute.atttypmod haven't been updated for a while: http://www.postgresql.org/docs/current/interactive/catalog-pg-attribute.html It obviously does contain the actual value ( possibly changed by ALTER TABLE ... ).
