Well, let me side with those who think this is a bad idea. But since this has apparently been decided, I'll desist.
For the time being, "its been decided" ... there isn't *alot* of traffic arising from it ... if/when there is, we can easily create a side committers list for projects vs core that ppl can opt into ...
