I've never heard of it, and it's not packaged for > Debian. I've released Pgfe in May 2018. I don't know how widely it's used. I think it should be just mentioned in the documentation to let the users decide to use it or to not. It's open source and anyone can contribute or file a bug or feature request. So, I don't see problem here.
