This is a bit strange:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# ll /usr/lib64/libpq.so.4.1
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 140000 Jan 12  2008 /usr/lib64/libpq.so.4.1
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# ll /usr/lib64/libpq.so.4
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 23 Aug  7 14:11 /usr/lib64/libpq.so.4 ->
/usr/lib64/libpq.so.4.1

Symlinking is done after installing package with a %post operation.

I suggest you to create symlinks for yourself.
