Given the spelling of the error message, that's coming from the server side (I don't think we have any client-side code that uses DETAIL lines). What is the exact SQL query that's being executed here? (If you don't know, try enabling query logging in the server so you can find out.) You should be able to replicate the failure by entering the same query via psql.
