You can try Gaudí (http://www.memoriapersistente.pt/en/opensource/gaudi/index.html). The version that is on the net is a bit outdated but fully funcional. It does generate SQL files with the proper statements for creating the tables. Plus: it also creates the tables as well as foreign keys and generates Java classes for database binding.
