> better to rename it to a general one.I was equally surprised by the choice of the patch regarding the location of these functions, so I agree with your point that these functions should be in pg_upgrade_support.c. All the sub-routines these two functions rely on are defined in some headers already, so there seem to be nothing new required for pg_upgrade_support.c. -- Michael
