This is why I mentioned clients using ISBN in production. I have yet to see any actual breakage in the field. Granted, both clients are US-only. I don't believe either of these clients is depending on the prefix-check, and that's the sort of thing we could announce in the release notes. I do get the feeling that Peter got burned by ISN, given his vehemence in erasing it from the face of the earth.
