Greg, Thanks for working through this. I see I still need to look more at the leaky views stuff. I think that the tuplesort comparison overhead reduction is in Peter G's hands to rebase at the moment; I will look at that again when it reemerges. I think "avoid two snapshots per query" is pretty much ready to go, though I'm vaguely waiting for any further input from Dimitri. I believe I'm going to punt on FlexLocks for now, for the reasons set out in the email I just sent on that topic, and accordingly am marking that patch with feedback.
