I'm unhappy because I know that I will get bug reports that I will have to deal with. They will take time and effort and would not be necessary if we had a seamless upgrade path. The more PostgreSQL gets used, the more it will be used by 'clueless' users; they just install binary packages and expect them to work. That may currently be an unrealistic expectation, but I would like it to become a goal of the project. It has always been my goal as Debian maintainer, but I don't think I can achieve it for this release. -- Oliver Elphick [EMAIL PROTECTED] Isle of Wight, UK http://www.lfix.co.uk/oliver GPG: 1024D/3E1D0C1C: CA12 09E0 E8D5 8870 5839 932A 614D 4C34 3E1D 0C1C ======================================== "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men pour into your lap.
