Deciding the failover standby is not exactly part of this patch but we should be able to set up a mechanism to decide which is the best standby to be promoted. We might not be able to conclude this from the sync parameter alone. As specified before in some cases an async standby could also be most eligible for the promotion. ----- -- Beena Emerson -- View this message in context: http://postgresql.nabble.com/Support-for-N-synchronous-standby-servers-take-2-tp5849384p5856201.html Sent from the PostgreSQL - hackers mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- Sent via pgsql-hackers mailing list (pgsql-hackers@postgresql.org) To make changes to your subscription: http://www.postgresql.org/mailpref/pgsql-hackers
