Yep. I've posted patches for most things in this thread over at http://archives.postgresql.org/message-id/20170603002023.rcppadggfiaav377%40alap3.anarazel.de because the proper fixes here are only possible after resolving the discussion there. The only thing I know of that's going remaining afterwards is SIGHUP handling, of which there's already a patch in this thread (although I want to prune its scope before committing).
