I think this explains the problem that you e-mailed in earlier. You probably tried to install a 8.0beta2 plpgsql into a 7.4.2 backend. AFAIK, this is fine, 8.0 psql clients should be able to connect to 7.4 backends (; -- Regards, James William Pye
