Based on past discussions on a 12 to 18 month dev cycle for 8.1, and based on past track record, I'd say closer to the 18 month, so figure on June '06, with freeze in January of '06 (12 month dev, 6 month beta) ... subject to change, but I wouldn't expect a freeze until Jan '06, beta period might be shorter though ...
