Playing around that I noticed:
postgres=# select '{asd}'::text[], '{asd}'::_text, _text '{asd}';
text | _text | _text
-------+-------+-------
{asd} | {asd} | {asd}
(1 row)
postgres=# select text[] '{asd}';
ERROR: syntax error at or near "]"
LINE 1: select text[] '{asd}';
