Linux doesn't need the extra libraries, it's linked properly. Additionally, on Linux there is no difference between ldap and ldap_r, they're the same file (at least here). $ ls -l /usr/lib/libldap.so.2 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 14 2005-06-09 10:42 /usr/lib/libldap.so.2 -> libldap_r.so.2 Just make sure you don't add unnecessary dependancies for platforms other than unixware.
