Did you try?:
 
SELECT *
FROM mdx_core.vw_provider AS p
WHERE EXISTS (SELECT * FROM myTable WHERE myId = provider_id)
 
For any follow-up you should probably mention what version of
PostgreSQL this is and how it's configured.
